Who operates Skillvel.
German law requires anyone running a commercial website to say plainly who is behind it, and to be reachable. This page is that statement. It applies to Skillvel regardless of the site being written in English — what decides is where the operator is established, not what language they publish in.

Provider
Skillvel is operated by the provider named below, who is responsible for this website within the meaning of § 5 DDG (Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz).
- Legal name
- [LEGAL NAME]
- Legal form
- [LEGAL FORM] — for example sole trader (Einzelunternehmen), GbR, UG (haftungsbeschränkt) or GmbH.
- Represented by
- [AUTHORISED REPRESENTATIVE] — required only for a company; a sole trader repeats their own name.
- Address
- [STREET AND NUMBER]
[POSTCODE] [CITY]
[COUNTRY]
The address has to be one where post is actually received. A PO box does not satisfy § 5 DDG.
- 02
Contact
§ 5 DDG requires an email address plus a second route that allows rapid electronic contact — in practice a telephone number, or a contact form that is answered as quickly as one.
- [CONTACT EMAIL]
- Telephone
- [TELEPHONE]
Automated mail from the platform is sent from a no-reply sender and is not a contact route. Use the address above.
- 03
Register entry and VAT
These apply only if Skillvel is operated as a registered business. Delete the rows that do not apply rather than leaving them blank — an empty register field reads as a claim that is not being met.
- Register
- [REGISTER COURT] — e.g. Handelsregister, Amtsgericht [CITY]
- Register number
- [HRB / HRA NUMBER]
- VAT identification number
- [USt-IdNr.] under § 27a Umsatzsteuergesetz
A small business under § 19 UStG (Kleinunternehmerregelung) has no VAT identification number and should say so here instead, because it also changes what may appear on a price and on an invoice.

Responsibility for content
The provider named above is responsible for the pages Skillvel itself writes. Listings, descriptions, uploaded files, screenshots and profile information are content supplied by users, and Skillvel does not review them before they are published — publication is automatic once a malware scan clears and a cover image exists.
That is not an argument that nothing can be done about it. Every listing page carries a report button, reports are reviewed by a person, and a confirmed one takes the listing offline. How that works, and what it costs a seller, is set out in section 10 of the Terms of Service. If something on this site infringes your rights, the report button is the fastest route and the contact address above is the formal one.

Point of contact under the Digital Services Act
Skillvel is an online platform within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act). The single point of contact for users, and for authorities and the Commission under Articles 11 and 12 DSA, is the email address in section 2. Correspondence is accepted in [LANGUAGES] — English and German unless stated otherwise.
Notices about illegal content are handled through the report mechanism described in the Terms, which is the notice-and-action procedure required by Article 16.

Consumer dispute resolution
[PARTICIPATES / DOES NOT PARTICIPATE]— the provider must state here whether they are willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle) under § 36 of the Verbraucherstreitbeilegungsgesetz. Where participation applies, the board’s name and address belong here too.
There is deliberately no link to the European Online Dispute Resolution platform. Regulation (EU) 524/2013 was repealed and the platform ceased operating on 20 July 2025, so the link carried by most older imprints now leads nowhere.
